KDE refuses to remove printing tasks

When I print something with KDE and I want to pause or cancel the job, KDE
says I do not have access to this resource. KDE displays my own username
as the owner of the job, but I can only remove them by going to
administrator mode in KControlCentre. But when I try to remove them by
typing

 lprm <jobid>

as a normal user in konsole, it works perfectly. Why is KDE unable to do
this?
