Apologies for jumping in so late, but why "move" users by copying files?  That's not a reliable method in the best of situations, since it doesn't move the meta-data, like indexes, etc.  I would suggest the Murder approach, or simply use imapsync or some similar tool.

Hi J. Roeleveld

Thanks for the reply.

With regards my second question that is moving a mailbox from one server A
to another server B.

Let say a user named Alice.surname has a mailbox with several subfolders on
Server A. What is the procedure to move the mailbox (and all associated
subfolder) of Alice.surname to Server B? Assume both servers have the
same OS and software versions.

On legacy cyrus this was very easy go to
/path/to/mailboxes/user/Alice.Surname copy the content to Server B and
reconstruct the mailbox on Server B.

This is not "possible" with uuid storage.
Did you try?

But more ontopic, assuming you want to move individual mailboxes to spread the
load, why not use a murder setup?
