Re: Upgrade and seen status

First i wanted to test the upgrade on a single user with a moderate amount of mail.
I copied the mail folder, exported mailboxes.db to a text file and remove no existent mailboxes and then recreate
mailboxes.db on the new server.
I also created user/*/ folders and copied .seen file to the correct folder

Then i started master and tried it with a mail client.
All mail is still marked as unread.

Did I missed a step in the upgrade ?

Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our mail server to the latest version from
2.3.15.
The problem i'm having is how do i preserve seen status. In 2.3.15 there is
a .seen file but i was reading that this is now all in .index file.
So when i copied all the mailboxes to a test server the seen status was not
preserved. (all mail was unread)

Any suggestions on how to handle this ?

Before Cyrus 2.4.x the seen status was stored in the userid.seen files
in the /<coconfigdirectory>/user directory or subfolders. Did you copy
these files?
