basically duplicate suppression might miss a few messages (since you've deleted what it does its comparison against).
Also, I think it resets any state associated with vacation.

e.g. Someone who has already gotten a vacation auto-response, may get another one after the deliver.db is deleted and if they send another message to the address using vacation.
