a general ietf community discussion list will continue to exist; whether it is magenta, taupe, or teal. a few thousand of us funny monkeys will chatter. and, when a large number of us are not happy with the status quo, the defenders of the status quo will not be happy with the chatter. tough patooties; that's life with funny monkeys; get over it. and examine the root causes, not shovel kitty litter as fast as one can. i once found a jabber chat room where an amusing collection (of the folk who are telling others here to tone police and shut up) indulge in the most immature, puerile, and ad hominem (i would say snark, except that would imply talent and sophistication) side discussion during plenaries etc. 15 year old boys. so we funny monkeys will chatter, we polite ones to your face. randy
