This is because you have lots of free time with which to filter through all of the messages. From my perspective, nearly every message sent on this thread has been useless, because it hasn’t added anything new to the discussion, but has consumed my time in reading it.

I would happily take part in (personally) funding someone to filter through this slush pile summarizing each topic that has been raised and what has been said on the topic. If this were done, everything you said would be taken into account, but the number of times you said it would not. This would not prevent you from speaking, but it would prevent you from speaking more loudly than others with less free time.

Those who consider it important to allow you to speak louder than everyone else could continue to consume the raw feed. Those of us who don’t have time to do so could consume the processed feed. Everybody would win, with one small exception: you would no longer be able to silence people by simply drowning them out.

I use you as an example here because you really are speaking about ten times more often than anyone else on this thread, but this works for tone policing as well: if I don’t want to have to engage with someone directly who I perceive as being unpleasant, I can simply consume the processed feed and never actually see zir words directly. From my perspective, it will feel just as if ze is being nice and polite, even if ze is being quite unpleasant.

Because this would be totally voluntary and transparent, it’s hard to see how you could call it censorship.
