The general discussion is meaningless without considering *how* github is being used.
(Please see this thread if you haven’t noticed yet.)

So we need the output of that WG.

But the WG would be missing its mark if it were to deliver modes of use that don’t fit the constitution of the IETF.  So it *has* to have at least some elements of that discussion, but focused to the mode of use under consideration (which may allow the discussion to be meaningful).  There is no doubt that any discussion that concludes in no or rough consensus will then leak back to this list.  I’m looking forward to that, *if* (and when) it is needed.
