It's worth noting that in the XML version, the RFCs will be flowed and will not have page breaks in the HTML, so hitting CMD+ and CMD- to change the font size will provide a really good UX compared to the current fixed-width tools.ietf.org rendering.   There is no chance of this group (or any other) coming to consensus on the One Right Point Size, so better to not try.
