hmmm. I was always told that the IETF actually did retain all the
original I-Ds.  So what changed was making it easier to get at them.

Methinks the problem is that the older ones -- pre-easy access -- were
never transitioned to the new access model?  That is, I suspect they are
sitting somewhere in an obscure archive that we haven't integrated in.

As for the UI, is it worth considering for the IETF to adopt on its web
site?
