The ISP business is not really a high profit margin one. Some customers are a loss. The tendency of wanting to multihome without running a routing protocol is a good indicator of lower profit margin. If for nothing else then for the increased support load. There used to be threshold problems with getting AS numbers and such, but the increased AS number space helps a lot.
