It's entirely possible I misunderstood, though - I should probably look.
I use it. It does have its own account, but I believe it does not use that
account as a data-relaying proxy.
(However it does keep the list of my other accounts and I can understand
objecting to that. For me, it's been quite helpful when I have to do
(re-)installs on different platforms.)
