Melinda,

Meetecho does make use of standard protocols, as witnessed by the possibility of accessing each of the functionality we provide by means of any client implementing such standards (i.e., XMPP for accessing IETF jabber rooms, SIP/RTP or RTSP for audio/video and HTTP for the slides).

The Meetecho WebLite interface is just an alternative we provide IETFers with, should they want to have all the aforementioned functionality wrapped in a single web page. We do not *require* our own client to be used at all.

Cheers,
Alessandro
