I support this change.

PS - and when I read the ietf@xxxxxxxx mailing list, I am often convinced I don't understand the culture of the IETF so I am glad to note the IESG only talks about what is clearly not sufficient and makes no implications about what might be sufficient to understand the IETF. I agree the current scheme does not ensure the "best" nomcom but it's better than any other proposal we have on the table.
