Did that ever happen before ?  A Last Call trying to get 
consensus that there's no consensus.

If "silence means agreement" my silence about the Last Call
for say the "channels bindings" only indicates my agreement
that I have not understood its implications for SASL.

Now I wonder what my silence wrt to your proposed Last Call
could mean.  Agree to IANAL would be fine with me.
