Tiscali have updated their nameservers to be able to cope
with those emails.

Maybe anycast has played a trick on you and you cannot see
the right nameservers :)
Oh please...anycast have nothing to do with content.
I think that you are pretty mixed up with what a root-server is and
what an authoritative server is. But again, that is just me. I will
now go back into lurk mode on this list...
