Few formatting options indeed, especially if I look at the beautiness of some ASCII Art you can find in the RFC's. Some real images with diffrent font sizes and flows could be more readable and understandable. HTML documents are even supposed to be printable now (thanks to CSS). But I don't know if thats a reality given that diffrent browsers interpret it so diffrently...
