Can you think of any policy that would not be "appropriate"? I thought so. If so then surely (I mean, Margaret) we can give them a sense of what would be considered appropriate up front?
Margaret's first off-the-cuff suggestion is an example of what I'd consider "not appropriate". I'm sure I can come up with something else that looks reasonable on the surface, but has a corner case I haven't thought of.
We're appointing sensible people to the IAOC (and if they're not, the quicker we realize and get rid of them, the better).... so I still think we don't need to do more micromanagement than saying "The IAOC will establish and publish rules to handle conflict of interest situations".
