You may think so, but many of us who actively worked on IDNA starting literally 25 years disagree. Further, the analysis you seem to rely on does not cover why look-alikes for internationalized characters is critical but look-alikes within ASCII can be ignored.

I certainly didn't mean to imply that, and I don't believe I did imply it.

We tried hard to stay away from this English-centric view when developing IDNA, and bring it back now 15 years after the standard was published is the wrong direction to take.

That isn't the point of anything I wrote, unless you're attempting to deny that IDNA look-alikes make the problem worse than ASCII look-alikes.
