Hey Jay, > I’m guessing you missed the announcement from the IETF Chair that > detailed the sending address and the link to that announcement in the > message you received. I indeed missed https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/ietf-announce/Og9ESsfDWrhy5Ea8tso7HfaqY5A/ However, I would argue that my point was a bit different; Basically, I do not see why this could not have come from <surveys@xxxxxxxx>, with aligned DKIM and SPF; With links to https://s.ietf.org/ietf125survey, which then forwards to the Qualtrics link. I am aware of all the practical considerations that go into that (and prevent a solution like the one I sketched in practice), and that this is _very_ close to another ongoing thread on this list. But we need to have a discussion about these things more broadly and in their instances; And I am, to a degree, at a loss as to how to have such a discussion productively, without ending up in a) micromanagmeent, b) bikeshedding, c) unqualified complaining to people who do actual work; So I try the best I can, and if I ended up in either a), b), or c), I'd like to sincerely apologize; But I feel many very good things of the Internet to be drifting away faster and faster. With best regards, Tobias P.S.: Btw, in case anyone from qualtrics is reading along: qemailserver.com is not part of the certificate presented at tcp/443 for the host, and qemaiIserver.com is still free to register; Just saying.
