Hi David, the point of HotRFC is to invite listeners to conversations many of which will happen during IETF week. So a mid-week event would miss half of those. Maybe making the recording available very quickly (same Sunday) can solve the problem that you described (and that I have a ton of sympathy for). With IETF 118 being closer-to-home that most for me, it is a real bonus that I can travel on Monday and get home on Friday rather than having to eat into one, potentially two weekends. > > How about holding a second outing for the HotRFC mid-week early evening (6/7 pm)? > > </Old curmudgeon mode> > > David > > From: 118attendees <118attendees-bounces@xxxxxxxx> on behalf of Liz Flynn <lflynn@xxxxxxxx> > Date: Friday, 13 October 2023 at 23:27 > To: ietf@xxxxxxxx <ietf@xxxxxxxx>, irtf-discuss@xxxxxxxx <irtf-discuss@xxxxxxxx>, 118attendees@xxxxxxxx <118attendees@xxxxxxxx>, wgchairs@xxxxxxxx <wgchairs@xxxxxxxx> > Cc: hotrfc@xxxxxxxx <hotrfc@xxxxxxxx> > Subject: [118attendees] IETF 118 HotRFC Talk Solicitation > > Do you have an idea, problem space, or proposal that IETFers and IRTFers should hear about? > > Do you want to propose IETF or IRTF work but aren’t sure if your idea is ready or who else will be interested? > > Agenda requests are now being accepted for the Request for Conversation (HotRFC) lightning talk session.
