IPv6 makes this irrelevant.

That NAT makes FTP hard to use isn't an argument to turn off FTP, it's an argument
for joining this century, and using IPv6.

[me: I'm just annoyed that rsync isn't an RFC, because that's the protocol to
use. And we have it now, but it's not an STD RFC]
{I deleted most of the thread.  I'm fine with turning off FTP at some point.
Maybe today is too soon.  Maybe Dec.31, 2021...}
