After taking a look at the draft's new IANA considerations, I have to say that Section 3 is extremely well written.  I had to take another look at RFC 8126 but I think this really checks all the boxes.  BEST current practice indeed.
 
Maybe it could use just a touch more to keep the crazies out....how about specification required, expert review, IESG review, IAB review, and a spelling test.
