Peter, I am happy to have your e-mail address depend on your provider. I am far less happy to have to figure out how to address you depending on what my provider is. Been there, done that. Have a book about it. It's all gone now and we use "name@host.tld" The "tld" part is known and can be resolved from a set of carefully operated and synchronized root servers.
