I am sorry to inform you that you have IdeaPad firmware, BIOS and EC. I don't know how different from an IdeaPad-branded laptop your "ThinkPad" SL500 is, but the firmware is the one on the IdeaPads, so I'd expect the entire mainboard to be basically that of an IdeaPad (with maybe some of the simpler ThinkVantage technologies added). There is no support for this BIOS/EC, and it is completely different from the IBM ThinkPad firmware lineage. Maybe you can get Lenovo to release the required information to write drivers?
