Scott A license server is under development. The client on installation broadcasts a request and the server responds and issues a license from the pool. The license is stored in the software which allows the device to be mobile outside the network. From a enterprise deployment perspective it supports RasSrv::AssignedAlias and RasSrv::AssignedGatekeeper features of GnuGk (see sect 7.6+ of the manual) so you can centrally assign the gatekeeper or alias. In the simplest form you don’t need to set the username, password or even Gatekeeper as the GRQ will discover the gatekeeper and supply the windows network username, the gatekeeper can then centrally assign and issue the H.323 alias. One item you might want to look into is a license management server. I work for a service provider and this type of software would be ideal for the desktop, but we need a way to control the licensing. If there was a way to centrally manage our pool of licenses this would make the software much more attractive to many organizations. Suffice to say any “centrally managed” client features you could come up with we would be interested in. In a perfect world the client would put in a username, password and management server address and all settings are automatically set on the client.
