The standard covering this area is H.341.
H323plus (the successor to openh323) supports H.341 and all the MIB's have
been parsed and are available for use, I have not had the time to add the
support directly to GnuGk. If you compile GnuGk against h323plus v1.20 you
should be able to access the SNMP server code and you will need to modify
the gatekeeper to collect the SNMP information.

Subject: Monitioring Gatekeeper using snmp
Hi,
I am doing a project on monitoring of h.323 based gatekeeper. We are
using this open h323 gatekeeper to serve our purpose.
we actually have to monitor the following parameters
a.. Number of calls that originate and terminate from a specific
location
b.. Number of ongoing calls
c.. Aggregate messaging information per zone
d.. Registration and un-registration information
e.. Counter information (such as location requests) to gauge the level
of activity
f.. History information on the source and destination connections and
tear-downs
According to the manual we can use gatekeeper status port for serving our
purpose. but we are supposed to use the snmp and the MIB for acheoving this
purpose..
can anybody tel me how snmp and mib can be used with the gatekeeper.. i
mean.. i just have no idea about how to get the data required into the MIB..
to be perecise.. i have no idea.. how data needs to be brought out of
gatekeeper and giv it to MIB... There needs to be some mechanism.. that does
this .
Is it only the status port through which the statistics comes out ... or
is there anyother way by which we can use get the data out of gatekeeper and
get it into the respective MIB..
awaiting reply..
Nagarjun.
