Well, to my understanding, a Registered EndPoint communicates to the GK via
the registration port 1719 and confirms which port to send data to, which by
default is usually 1721 (or at least in GnuGK).  However, when an EndPoint
is UnRegistered, then it sends the call as if it were sending to a Gateway,
where the default receiving port is 1720 for call signalling.

That is my understanding and might not be wholesome.  The experts on this
mailing list could further clarify.
