Default gatekeeper signaling port is 1721. Either embed this port
into the dial string or change CallSignalPort config variable to 1720.
You will also need AcceptUnregisteredCalls, if the caller is not registered
with the gatekeeper.

I had a misunderstanding about basic concept of how gatekeeper works, I
think.
Please help.

Suppose I have a gatekeeper running at IP 10.0.0.1 <http://10.0.0.1>, and
mcu running at IP 10.0.0.2 <http://10.0.0.2>
which registers with gatekeeper successfully. Now, suppose a user wants to
make a
h323 call to mcu through the gatekeeper, what should he do? I used to think
that the
user just needs to call the gatekeeper and gatekeeper will route him to mcu.
Today I tried
that, but the only message I got is that '10.0.0.1 <http://10.0.0.1> does
not have a phone running' something
like that.

I'm so confused now. does the user have to register with
gatekeeper@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?

any opinion is appreciated.

-Jim
