You need to use the MS-g723 codec. For that the codec should be present in the computer, It comes with NetMeeting. As far as Specifing a nat ip in softphone, I agree that it's not a flexible solution. Then If you have an access to the ADSL router you can specifically forward the h323 ports. Or you can use DMZ.
