Re: client authentication scenario: how to do it with gnugk?

SqlBill comes with sample configuration files. Almost "plug&play";)
You can use FreeRADIUS with flat text file to authenticate users
and send back some additional attributes - you need to read the FreeRADIUS manual about the syntax.
You may also need to examine radauth.txt file (which is available
in GnuGk 2.0.x or directly through a www cvs browser at SF site)
to see what attributes are sent/received by GnuGk.

Thank you for your information.
Just some more question.

My I use the "radauth.ini" example (included in openh323gk) to configure gnugk for this scenario?

Could you please tell me where to find good examples about how to configure FreeRADIUS and SqlBill for this purpose?

May I start using just FreeRADIUS (without SqlBill) and be able to assign the e164 as well?

Antonio

You can use GnuGk + FreeRADIUS + SqlBill
- it allows alias control AND assignement, so your
endpoint only needs to know its h323id, e164 can
be assigned from the database.

Could, please, someone tell me how to configure gnugk to get the behaviour described below?

For each client, the gnugk configuration file should contain:
    - h323id
    - e.164   <== very important
    - password

When the client try to register, if its parameters don't match against the gnugk config., then its request is rejected.

Note:
the client IP address is not fixed (dhcp, mobile user, ...).

Is it possible to do it with gnugk?

Thanks
Antonio
