Hi Tom,
yes i think to setup iptables is a good idea in everycase, but what i am looking for is to forward all the registration requests to the parent gk. The child gk is at the customers side and the only work for it should be to enable multiple phones with different e.164 No. behind a NAT Router.
Sorry, I don't know enough about gnugk to know if this is possible. (Perhaps a little local intelligence would be useful, so that when the DSL line or central GK was not working, you could still make intercom calls, and perhaps access the PSTN through a local gateway.)
If i understand right, i can register at the child gk every e.164 No i want and than give with the prefix option the order to the parent gk to route these e.164 No. to this child gk.
You should be able to block this with AcceptGatewayPrefixes=0 and then define the ones you want in the [EP::ALIAS] section. Or, your authentication mechanism could deny the RRQ if it has bogus aliases.
do you think that changing this values could prevent the "Select Error 10"
No, IMO there may be a deleted socket that is still being tested with Select. In any case, it is better to find the bug and fix it.
Even if you get this working perfectly, an IP address change will still dump any calls in progress, and you probably won't be able to reestablish them for at least a minute. Perhaps you can cause an intentional disconnect at 3 AM, to keep unwanted ones from happening during business hours.
Regards,
Stewart
