GNU Gatekeeper 2.2.0 released ============================= After being in beta for over one year, the GNU Gatekeeper developers are proud to release 2.2.0 as the new stable version. GnuGk 2.2 has much better performance and scalability than older releases (it does multithreaded RAS now). Among many other improvements it has much more flexible routing policies and neighbor configuration. For a complete list of changes see the file changes.txt in the download archive (long!). We would like to encourage all users to upgrade to the 2.2 line since we won't add new features to 2.0 and will only be making bug fixes. Source code and executables for Linux and Windows can be downloaded from http://www.gnugk.org/h323download.html For information on compiling the source code see http://www.gnugk.org/compiling-gnugk.html A few people may want to stay with the 2.0.x branch for now: - LDAP support was removed from the 2.2 release for now, because the implementation was broken and not thread-safe - the H.235 implementation in 2.2.0 is not as complete, as in the soon to be released 2.0.9 version (probably be fixed in 2.2.1) Regards, Jan -- Jan Willamowius, jan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, http://www.willamowius.de/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
