I found in the archive that Franz J Ehrengruber on 2004-06-30 16:39 posted an answer to the problem that I am faced with i.e
Note: To resolve the issue, read para 4) at the bottom of this message!
1) Environment MS VC 6 + latest service pack
2) Latest MS Platform SDK installed and associated with MS VC 6.0
