Getting Release Cause 28 (invalid number format) at end of a good call

Has anyone else experienced getting a release cause of 28 (invalid number format) at the end of a good call, from the destination endpoint. Good meaning setup, alerting, connect etc....call holds for like 30 minutes.

I am getting this from a couple terminating endpoints. It doesnt seem like that is a correct release cause for a good call. How would the gnugk (proxy mode) handle that? Would it simply pass it through to the originating side?
