Hi Nicholas,
I'm starting to learn the GnuGk and thus have to do a lot of reading too ;-)
I notice one thing in your config file; concerning the NetworkInterfaces directive.
> NetworkInterfaces=10.42.42.16/24,w.x.y.z/24,127.0.0.1/8,172.16.250.16/24
This is what the GnuGk manual says:
* NetworkInterfaces=192.168.1.1/24,10.0.0.1/0 * Default: N/A * * Specify the network interfaces of the gatekeeper. * By default the gatekeeper will detect the interfaces * of your host automatically. There are two situations * that you may want to use this option. One is automatical * detection failed, another is the gatekeeper is behind an * NAT box and allow endpoints with public IPs to register * with. In this case you should set the option just as the * gatekeeper is running on the NAT box.
Thus my question is;
aren't your network interfaces detected automagically?
If so; then - at least from what I have understod so far - you shouldn't need to specify any other IP-address than your External IP i.e. 'NetworkInterfaces=w.x.y.z/24'
And *if* you would like to restrict services to just some local IP-addresses you should be able to specify those via the 'Home=' directive.
I'm sure someone corrects me - which is good - if I'm wrong here. :-)
I guess that's all I can help you with right now - sorry :-(
Best Regards, Rolf Sponsel

Don't panic! You're not alone :-)

Note: I'm using openmcu version: 1.1.7+cvs04092, and gnugk version: 2.0.7-4 on a debian distrobution.
And finally a *standard response*; there is a more recent gnugk! ;-)
