I am not sure whether you will ever be able to get subsecond accuracy with the gatekeeper - it is not a terminating gateway, there will always be some delays. If you are using routed mode, the delay is generated by ReleaseComplete message forwarding, not by late DRQ sending. Take into account that 2 seconds difference is quite huge. Usually it should be less than a second, if you have all components well tuned. Maybe the ReleaseComplete should be forwarded before actually processing it. Interesting question:) PS: Average call duration ~3mins (180 seconds): (200 000 * 180) / (200 000 * 2) = 1% difference Average price per minute $0,05 (buying from carrier): 200 000 * 180 * 0,05 / 60 = $30 000 total bill $30 000 * 1% = $300 difference.
