Hello Michael, First off all I would like to tell you that these were my findings and I liked some sort of confirmation but never received any answer. I only noticed similar error conditions mentioned in the forum especially when using cisco gateways for termination. When I adjusted the information in the h225 CS part during the terminalcapability set it suddenly did work well. So consider this solution like some ad hoc untested thing. When I come back to my office later next week I will look up the exact patch I made. Standardization? I am fighting since 802.3 with this. Here is some snappet from the manual... It has lots of more interesting information... E.16.2 H.225.0 Call signaling Description: Some H.225.0 v4 call signaling messages have been omitted in the table. Those missing messages shall be secured according to procedure II/III as well. The text in the table below corrects this error. Q.931 is not properly addressed. This has led to confusion. The following addition provides the clarification. It's not a problem to transcode the message in gnugk, so if we know exactly what is going on we can fix it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "iTS Consult@ncy" <itsc99@cantv.net> Sent: Wednesday, February 18, 2004 9:15 PM Maybe my previous mail was a little subtil. Look in the h245 Terminalcapabilityset. In this frame you will find a h225 CS part. This h323 message_body facility message reads facility(UUIE)" for version 4 and reads empty for a version 2 or 3. Whenever this condition exists the call will be terminated at the receiving endpoint after about 10 up to 30 seconds. I looked it up in the h323 v4 protocol description of the ITU manual. Every endpoint in a h323 circus that has this mismatch causes the mentioned problem. I created a temp fix by rewriting the message body part during call setup to the v4 standard when dealing with v4 endpoints in a softswitch and not in the gnugk. I simply can't write C++ I only analyse dumps ! Greetings, Tjapko. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
