ok here is my temp workaround that let me compile last nite. running debian
linux 2.4.22 kernel.

apt-get update make sure i have current version, apt-get dist upgrade.

then i compile a new kernel, in the past i have some errors that indicate that
the kernel source should be the same as the compiled kernel. since update has
new files in kernel source, i decided to build kernel again.

get latest pwlib from cvs

build pwlib first
./configure
make clean
make depend
make optnoshared

after building new pwlib, went to build new GK from CVS.

make clean, make optdepend, make optnoshared,
i did use large fdset and has acct.

i receive some warning in the end but was able to make image in obj_xxxx_ r

maybe this helps, i was able to make an image and running it now for test.
regards
ray
