I had to roll back to 3.2.7 which comes with ubuntu 13.04
and it works great. I'm still on evaluating but treated it with
various workloads as the storage backend for my kvm/qemu VMs
I tried 3.4.1 but that's not for me :-( since
with 3.4.1it isn't possible to migrate the VMs,
which is "kind of the whole point"
bug 987555
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=987555
addresses the problem (which is a fatal port collision)
And version 3.4.2 should have a solution for it.
So sad to say 3.4.1 wasn't the greatest version ever 4 my workload
but I like glusterfs a lot and looking forward to a good 3.4.x version
to try the new libgfapi and other feature for our VM environment.
On upgrade also be aware of some more changes in 3.3 and onwards

3.2.7 works reliable for me up to now but I will try 3.4.2 as soon as the
ubuntu and debian packages are ready.

Hi Nguyen,We also have fixed using 3.2.7 for production - it works well for us.I was thinking to upgrade to 3.4.x in the next month or so. I'd like to understand more - how many people are actually using 3.4.1? Can anyone (users) or from gluster/redhat chime in here - would be reassuring to hear that the latest version is also the greatest..Regards,PaulOn 2 December 2013 15:52, Nguyen Viet Cuong <mrcuongnv@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:Hi,Actually, I have very bad experience with GlusterFS 3.3.x and 3.4.x under very high pressure (> 64 processes write in parallel in more than 10 minutes, for example). GlusterFS 3.2.7 from EPEL is really stable and we use it for production.Unfortunately, there is no official built of GlusterFS 3.2.x on Gluster's repo._______________________________________________
