This assumption, that the overwrite is desired, is wrong for any
photographic workflow. You import your pretty 12Mpix raw or JPG
photo, scale and crop and adjust and it would be a tragedy if you
destroyed the original at the end. The desired behavior is to keep the
type perhaps, but certainly not overwrite.
