thanks god you are somewhat back!

there is a lack of accountability lately, that same god knows that i am
the wrong person to file bug reports and such -- however, bugs get
closed for no good reason and talking to the developers in either camp
(gtk or gimp) is like talking to that escher drawing of one hand drawing
the other. not so pretty as that tho.

back when the developer mail was full of flame wars (mostly between
germans, btw) the gimp was fast and did the job really well. now it
looks and feels good but is broken for anyone trying to work with it
logically. i think even jimmac broke down and got a movie of how long it
takes to open a busy directory. rumors of nautilus changing selections
and deleting things as well, during that long long opening a directory
process.

bug reports just get closed. something is very wrong, and it shouldnt
be.
