There has been rumours about work being done on the new web site in IRC from time to time but I don't remember any official announcements in the last months nor did I see a mail from you asking people for help. I also had no idea that there is a CVS server for the new web site nor who has access to this repository. Carol, if you want people to help you, you should perhaps start asking them for help. > Sven, nothing in your post offended me. mostly i felt bad as i tried to > tag the AUTHORS file way back then. i seem to have issues with tags. > maybe if you could whip together a template, i could work rocks script > into spitting the AUTHORS out an xml form to your liking. his little > script already does this nicely: > http://carol.gimp.org/authors.png > should be simple enough for even me to change the web page into whatever > xml tags you see fit. well, using AUTHORS is probably a bad idea since it is the ASCII-only version generated from the file contributors which also has UTF8 encoded names. I'd really like to replace this mess by something saner and I was hoping that we could come up with something that also fits the needs of the web-site authors. If you don't want us to cooperate on this subject, I'll just change the files to fit my needs (or rather the needs of the GIMP core hackers) and you'll have to do script hacking to get your page done. However I'd rather see use a format we have discussed beforehand. If you don't like XML as I suggested, perhaps we can come up with something else... Salut, Sven
