No non-signed license can unilaterally extend the author's rights
outside what he's already got by law -- or so I really thought? Even if
you have `license protection', you might still be responsible by law...
Of course, the exact degree of this varies wildly from place to place.
(GPL has also got some clauses like this, BTW.)
