Why shouldn't it be possible to cleanly cancel a save from the Save dialog?
Cancelling it later while the save is in progress is another thing, but 
that's not what Michael was talking about.

IMHO the "Save failed" message is really annoying and adding a STATUS_CANCEL
for this purpose might be worth the effort.
