Okok, I haven't tried it (I was toos that an emoty menu comes up, though).
I've added it already, but did not yet compile or chekc it in :(

But when I understand you correctly I can achieve exactly the same by
adding a "dummy translation" in the logulator plug-in? That'd be much less
offensive, and the translation would be where it belongs: gimp-perl's pot?
