Adding to this.

- You did not say if win 7 and win 10 ran on the same computer or not.
- In my opinion, excluding 'old' hardware (dust built-up, or capacitor failure due to old age),
  the hardware failure  that is more likely is RAM corruption issue.
- The issue is that RAM memory is not fully testable, meaning there may end up faulty
  (sometimes) modules in (new) computers.
- Testing will not always reveal that. If you want 100 % certainty there is NO ram issue:
  a. Use a machine with ECC ram (error correction on the RAM.)
  b. If the ECC does correct more than a very infrequent error, replace the RAM modules
      where the errors occur.
