building 64-bit gcc on 64-bit solaris-9?

Hi!

I'm sure folks on this list are sick of this question but I've been
unable to find the answer in the archives or via google.

I have a 64-bit solaris-9 sparc system. I have been trying to get a
64-bit gcc and 64-bit gdb built but am unable.

I have a 32-bit gcc that can build 64-bit binaries; I downloaded the
pre-packaged gcc from sunfreeware.com

However, I cant seem to debug 64-bit binaries though and I thought
thats because I needed a 64-bit gdb.

Is there a pre-built 64-bit gcc for solaris-9 64-bit?

Can I build a 64-bit solaris/sparc gcc with the 32-bit gcc? What
configure options should I use? When I tried to do this, I failed due
to missing lots of 64-bit ar, ld, etc. I can post the config/make
output if folks like.

Please respond to me in email as I do not subscribe to the list. When
I resolve this, I can post a summary to the mailing list so that the
answer is in the archive.

Thanks,

Bobby
