I don't know how flatpaks work, but it sounds like each one, or perhaps
each run of one, generates new path names. If you really go down this
flatpak road, that's going to generate a lot of duplicate data and slow
down flatpak startup a lot.

It seems like we should be coordinating with the flatpak people to
figure out a good solution here.
