Hello, I'd like to suggest that fontconfig also knows about the licensing metadata of fonts and makes it possible to access this information fairly easily. (If if already does something like that then I haven't found it, sorry. I'd appreciate some pointers). IIRC this has been discussed earlier and Keith said it was fairly easy... So here's to hoping we can get a little fontconfig-based utility like "fc-license" to nicely expose that useful metadata: I'm thinking of Copyright notice/License/License URL/Designer/Designer URL/Trademark in the TTF fonts. It would be a great help to categorize fonts and the apps could make good use of such information. What do you think? Could something like that be ready for the 2.6 release?
