The RPM version number here is a little misleading. The xen-3.0.2-5.FC5
RPM is actually based off a very recent pre-release of the 3.0.3 tree
(changeset 11540). The kernel-xen0-2.6.18-1.20.fc5 is also based off
a pre-release of the 3.0.3 tree (the same changeset 11540) so they
match exactly.

I think, however, I may have just found the problem - it looks like the
/dev/xen/evtchn device is being created with the wrong major-minor
numbers, causing xenstored to fail, and thus breaking xend. The reason
it /appeared/ to work ok for some people is that xenstored did not get
restarted in %post section of the xen RPM. Going to investigate some
more to confirm

Regards,
Dan.
